Learning to use simulators to their fullest potential is essential to the success of your simulation program. Laerdal offers instructor-led courses to help you implement best practices in simulation using hands-on, interactive content.

We are now offering educational courses at the Laerdal Innovation and Networking Center (LINC) located in Toronto. Attending one of these sessions can help you discover how proper implementation of our solutions can lead to positive impact and outcomes.

Teaching with SimPad and Compatible Manikins

During this course, participants learn the basics of SimPad® platform simulators, including startup and shut down procedures, how to run basic scenarios, patient monitor and Instructor Device operations, operating modes, and other useful system features.

Learning Objectives:

  • Operate the simulator using the SimPad® / SimPad® PLUS.
  • Utilize themes or automatic mode scenarios to facilitate a scenario session.
  • Transfer a simulation session log for use in debriefing.

Teaching with LLEAP and Compatible Manikins

During this course, participants learn the basics of their LLEAP platform simulators, including startup and shut down procedures, how to run basic scenarios, patient monitor and Instructor Device operations, operating modes, and other useful system features.

Learning Objectives:

  • Operate the simulator using the Instructor Device to meet simulation-based instructional goals.
  • Utilize the Instructor Device to document learner performance during simulation.
  • Utilize the Instructor Device to control the simulator using a standardized, pre-programmed scenario.

SimMan 3G Advanced Care and Maintenance Course

 

This three-day workshop is taught by skilled Laerdal Field Service Engineers and is designed for experienced Simulation Lab operations staff. Participants will have the opportunity to delve deep into the SimMan 3G* platform’s technical functionality, will have ample hands-on time and leave with a course certificate that allows them to perform Preventive Maintenance Service on their organization’s SimMan 3G platform manikins.
